Easy Garlic Chicken Parmesan & Pasta
Ingredients:
1/2 C. parmesan cheese
1 envelope italian dressing mix (or could use italian seasoning spice)
1/2 tsp. garlic powder (dehydrated or freeze dried garlic is even yummier)
3 chicken breasts, cut in half and pounded thin
package of pasta
Jar of pasta sauce
thinly sliced fresh basil for topping (& presentation purposes)
Directions:
Heat oven to 400. Combine cheese, italian seasoning, and garlic on a plate. Moisten chicken with water, dip chicken in mixture. Place in baking dish. Bake 20-25 minutes until chicken is done. Prepare pasta and heat sauce. Reserve 3/4 C. of sauce to top chicken. Combine pasta and sauce.
To present serve chicken topped with reserved sauce, sliced basil, and a sprinkle of parmesan cheese.
This is a great dish to take as a "new baby meal" just put pasta in container and top with fancy chicken. Add a toss salad and garlic bread.
Beyeler Review:
We love this. It is so easy and I often have ingredients on hand. It is easy to half the recipe if just for us or the chicken actually reheats well for leftovers. Very important that you pound out chicken, helps it cook evenly and quickly. Now, I'm hungry!
